I'm trying to create a real-time translator app for my girlfriend, who is Ukrainian and loves anime. There aren't many good anime sites that support Ukrainian subtitles, and I want her to enjoy watching without focusing too much on learning English. I've started coding a translator that takes English subtitles and translates them into Ukrainian using Tampermonkey, but I'm stuck and could really use some advice! Here's what I've done so far, but it's not working as intended.

You might want to check out anime torrents. They usually come with separate subtitle files, which you can easily parse and feed into a translation API. Trying to reverse-engineer a video site could get complicated, so this approach might save you some hassle!
Yeah, there are websites that let you download the subtitles. Once you have them, translating should be pretty straightforward. Just a heads-up though, it might be a bit too complex or time-consuming for her, and I just want to make it a special experience!
