Trouble Connecting Dockerized Plex with Threadfin

Hey everyone! I'm hoping to get some help here. I recently transitioned my Plex Media Server from running natively on Ubuntu to managing it in Docker. Through my setup, I also have Threadfin configured for an IPTV service without any issues. However, after moving Plex to Docker, I'm struggling to connect it with Threadfin. I've managed to get some visibility into what's playing on the IPTV channels, but they won't stream properly and show a tune error when I try to play them. I've experimented with different network setups including bridge, host, and a custom network, but nothing seems to work. For now, I'm back to using native Plex, which works fine. If it's helpful, I can share my YAML configuration, but it's pretty standard and aligns with the recommendations. Thanks for any advice you can offer!

Make sure you don’t have any version mismatches. It's crucial to know the versions of Docker and Docker Compose you're using, as certain features or configurations may differ. If you installed Docker according to official guidelines, double-check if you went through the right channels, because installing via snap or Docker Desktop can lead to some odd behaviors. If you can provide more logs or specifics about the errors, that would help a lot!

I noticed you mentioned trying various network modes already. Are you certain that you’re using the same network settings for both Plex and Threadfin? If they’re not on the same network or configured to communicate properly, you’ll run into issues. Keeping them in host mode should usually help with local communication, but any other custom network setup could lead to problems.

It sounds like you're having a pretty frustrating experience, but don't worry! One thing to check is if UFW (Uncomplicated Firewall) is enabled on your system. If it is, you might need to add some allow rules for Plex to connect with Threadfin properly. If you’re using specific ports for communication, make sure they’re open in UFW settings. That could definitely be the source of the issue! Also, could you please share your YAML file? It’d help diagnose the situation better.
