Why are some users showing 0 seconds on my website?

Hey everyone, I'm using some recording software to track user screens, which also tells me how long users spend on my site and the number of pages they visit. Recently, I've seen some sessions showing 0 seconds. When I asked the screen recording company, they confirmed the recordings are real. Could this be a performance issue where users can't load my site quickly and just leave? Has anyone else dealt with this kind of problem? It's frustrating, especially since we're investing $36k in ads and I don't want to miss out on potential customers.

How exactly are you recording user screens? That could give more insight into the issue.

Could it be that some users are using ad blockers? That might prevent proper tracking on your site.

Most likely, those are just bounce sessions. A lot of analytics tools still struggle to accurately track time spent without multiple page views. If a user lands on your site and leaves right away, it might not register properly.

That's what I thought! I heard that users sometimes need to navigate to another page for it to be recorded, but the company insists the recordings are genuine.

If you send emails with embedded links, remember that some spam filters or security software might access those links, leading to these weird session durations.
