How can I acknowledge the maintainers of a GitHub project that helped me?

I recently created a simple online text-to-speech converter using Piper. I noticed that the maintainers actively showcase projects that utilize Piper, and I want to let them know about mine. Since I didn't fork the repo, they might not be aware of my project. Would posting in the Discussions section be the best way to reach out?

If they list projects in their repository, the best way would be to fork the repo and submit a pull request with your project added to the list. That way, they definitely won't miss it!

Oh, that’s cool! I spotted the list in the README.md. So, I can just fork, update the README, commit, and then open a pull request?

You could mention their project by adding a 'Powered by Piper' link on your site. That’s always a nice way to show appreciation, and I'm sure they'd love it!

Yep! I’ve added that in the About section already.
