I'm a newbie and I've just installed Pop OS 22.04 on my HP EliteBook 840 G3 with an i5 6600U processor and Intel HD graphics, along with 8GB of RAM. Even though everything seems fine, it feels super sluggish. Scrolling is really jittery, the fonts aren't clear, the aspect ratio seems off, and I'm missing features like the two-finger zoom gestures that I had on Windows 10. It honestly feels like I'm using Windows without the right graphics drivers! My `neofetch` shows that the drivers are correctly installed, so I'm not sure what to do next. I even had the same issue with Ubuntu. Any help would be appreciated!

It seems like you might be stuck with a version of Pop!_OS that isn’t optimal for your setup. I’d recommend checking out Linux Mint, especially the Cinnamon version. It's user-friendly and can give you a much smoother experience. Make sure when you install it, you skip any options that add extra software since that can slow things down, too!
Sounds like your laptop might be running on an older kernel version, which can definitely make things feel sluggish. I’d suggest trying a newer distro—Fedora is a solid choice, and you can boot it from a USB stick to see how it performs before committing to an install. It might resolve your issues!
