I'm a computer science student and I'm considering using a powerful 12 GB GPU for my machine learning projects, which is the bare minimum I need. My setup includes a quad-core processor running at 3 GHz and 8 GB of RAM. I'm a bit concerned about whether I might encounter performance issues due to potential bottlenecks between my GPU and CPU. Is there a way to calculate the ideal balance or 'limit' before running into problems, or can I proceed with my current setup and expect everything to go smoothly?

As long as your tasks utilize the GPU independently from the CPU, you shouldn't run into bottlenecks. Unlike gaming, machine learning typically focuses on GPU execution. Just make sure your workload doesn't heavily tax the CPU and you’ll be fine!
