Hey folks! I've just verified the Linux Mint image and I'm ready to flash it onto a USB stick to explore the live environment using Rufus. However, I'm feeling pretty lost with a few things. First, how do I get Linux to actually boot from the USB in the BIOS? I've seen some tutorials but I'm still confused. Also, if I decide to unplug the USB after using it, will my PC switch back to booting Windows by default in the BIOS? Just a heads up, I'm a total newbie at this!

After you use Rufus to create the bootable USB, you’ll need to restart your PC. To access the boot menu, look for a key specific to your motherboard – it might be F12 or something similar. In the BIOS settings, you can also change the boot order to prioritize the USB over Windows. Once you're running Mint and are done, safely remove the USB when prompted. From there, your machine should revert to booting Windows by default because nothing is installed permanently.
