Hey everyone! I recently got a smart TV for my outdoor setup, and while the distance from my router isn't too far, I'm facing a frustrating issue. The TV and Fire Stick connect fine, but when I try to stream on the Fire Stick, it keeps buffering non-stop. I reached out to my ISP, and they did some troubleshooting that improved the connection inside the house, but the outdoor setup is still suffering. I'm considering picking up a USB dongle WiFi extender to boost the signal. Do you think that would help? Just to add some details, I use Sky for broadband, the TV is a Walker smart TV, and there's a WiFi booster nearby, about 20 feet away. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

Sure! To break it down, a mesh network consists of multiple routers that connect to each other. As you move around, your device switches automatically to the closest router, which helps reduce signal loss compared to just having one main router. That's why I think it might be a good fit for your setup.
The best way to go is to run a cable directly to your TV. It can be a hassle, especially for 4K streaming, but you'll enjoy a stable connection for sure!
If you're up for a bit of investment, consider switching to a mesh network. It offers great signal coverage and might work better for your outdoor setup. Some mesh systems can even be placed outside under proper coverage.
Can you explain what a mesh network is? I haven’t heard of it before.
Running a cable all around the house sounds like a big job, so I’m hoping to find another solution. I thought about relocating the WiFi booster instead.
