While trying to search something on my Android phone, I received a strange message from Google saying that their systems detected unusual traffic from my network. It mentioned solving a CAPTCHA to continue using their services and suggested that there might be malware or automated requests involved. I was connected to my home Wi-Fi, and I don't have a VPN or anything that could affect this. This is the first time I've ever encountered this message, and I'm concerned if it means I have a virus or something. Also, I couldn't take a screenshot of the message. Has anyone else experienced this?

I wouldn’t worry too much. This can just happen if Google thinks your requests are automated due to high traffic or specific keywords. You may also get it if a website you visited was down, like what happened to me with athleanx.com yesterday. Just take it easy for a bit and try again later.
It's possible that something else caused this glitch. Rebooting your router might help if your internet seems sluggish. Thankfully, it likely isn’t a virus, but just in case, running a malware scan wouldn’t hurt. Just keep an eye on it for now!
It sounds like your IP might have been flagged for some reason. Sometimes, if multiple users are making a lot of requests quickly from the same network, Google can mistakenly think it’s suspicious. If no one else is using your Wi-Fi, it’s probably not malware on your phone. Just solving the CAPTCHA should get you back on track.
That makes sense! I haven’t had any issues other than that one message.
