Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a tight spot trying to help a family member who runs a physical store and does trade shows. They're wanting to set up an online shop to sell products but currently use Clover for their point of sale and credit card processing. It seems like Clover doesn't offer an easy way to create a frontend for online sales. I noticed they have a REST API, but that sounds way too complicated for them. They're hoping for something like WordPress or Shopify that would integrate seamlessly with their current inventory. However, they've heard that those solutions can create confusion between in-store and online inventory. They really want to avoid custom solutions since they'd like to manage the website themselves with no developer needed for regular updates. They're even considering switching to another platform if it makes sense. I know there are a ton of similar questions out there, but I'd love advice specifically on how to set this all up without too much hassle. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Absolutely! I get your concerns. Definitely consider using Shopify. Even though Clover's options are a bit limited, there are third-party integrations like SKU IQ or Kosmos eSync that can sync your Clover inventory with Shopify almost in real-time. This means inventory updates can happen on both ends, avoiding oversells and allowing easy management without needing coding skills. Alternatively, if they’re willing to switch entirely, Square + Square Online is a user-friendly option, but it's less customizable in the long run. You can look up agencies like Optimum7 for how to smoothly integrate existing POS systems without diving into custom solutions.
Great suggestions, thanks for the info!
Sounds like a common challenge! I’d recommend checking out MedusaJS. It’s relatively new, super flexible, but keep in mind that it won’t be as straightforward as Shopify; it requires some setup and maintenance. You can find their documentation here: [MedusaJS Docs](https://docs.medusajs.com/resources/recipes/pos).
Thanks a ton! This really helps clarify things for them.
