I'm handling a lot of handwritten customer surveys every month and I'm looking for a tech solution or software that can help me convert these into Excel sheets. Ideally, I want something that can read images or scans with minimal manual input. Any suggestions on tools or methods for this?

Hey! I work at Retab and we’ve developed a tool that does exactly what you need! You can upload scans or images of your forms, set the fields to extract, and get a clean Excel file back quickly. Check us out at retab.com. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
High-end copiers can scan your handwritten forms to PDF, but how effective that is at getting data into Excel depends on how readable the handwriting is. Could you provide more details on that?
You might want to check out Amazon Textract or similar services from Google Cloud and Azure. They can help with reading documents, though I haven't used them personally.
It might be better to capture the surveys digitally from the start instead of trying to convert handwritten ones. Handwriting recognition can lead to errors in the data, which can mess things up. Keeping everything digital from the beginning will help you avoid this hassle.
If the handwriting is neat enough, you might be able to get away with using Microsoft Lens and just copying it over to Excel.
Agreed! It's tough for both humans and machines to accurately read handwriting, so aiming for a digital process is definitely the way to go.
