Why Is My Computer Still Slow After Upgrading RAM and SSD?

I recently upgraded my computer by getting more RAM and a second SSD. I added a 16GB stick of RAM and installed a new SSD, but my computer is still sluggish. I mainly use it to play Sims 4 with a few mods, and I'm wondering if I should also upgrade my GPU, which is currently an NVIDIA 1650. What else can I do to improve performance?

Hey there! What's your CPU? Knowing your specs is key. Your CPU can play a big role in how games like Sims 4 run, especially with its environmental processing. It would help to know if you were using an SSD before; if Sims 4 isn't installed on the faster SSD, you won't notice any improvements.

I have an Intel Core i3-12100. I actually never installed the game on the new SSD yet, just added the RAM and SSD and tried to launch Sims.

First, is your Windows installed on the new SSD? If you're seeing slowness, it might be worth checking that. Also, when you say it's slow, what exactly do you mean? Sharing your full specs could really help us diagnose the issue better!
