I'm trying to figure out how to safely move my gaming PC, but I'm getting a lot of mixed advice. Some friends say I can just throw it in a suitcase with some padding and it'll be fine, while others think I should take it apart completely—which honestly terrifies me since I'm not great with hardware. I built this PC with my brother, and I don't even have the original packaging for the components like the GPU. I'm unsure if I need to use antistatic foam and how to check if what I have is actually anti-static. I'm feeling overwhelmed and even considering just selling it instead of risking damage during the move.

If I were you, I'd recommend packing and shipping the graphics card separately. The CPU cooler is light enough, so you can probably leave it on the motherboard. Just make sure to pack the GPU well to avoid any static issues, but the rest of the system should be fine as is.
Why exactly should I remove the graphics card? I moved it once in a foam-lined case keeping it upright and everything worked fine after.
