Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating issue with my new build. I've got an MSI A620m-e motherboard paired with a Ryzen 5 7500f CPU from AliExpress, and I'm using a Corsair Vengeance 32GB 6000MHz RAM kit that I bought from Amazon Warehouse. My power supply is 500W. When I power on the system without the RAM, the fans spin up, and I see the CPU and DRAM lights on the motherboard. However, as soon as I install the RAM and hit the power button, nothing happens—not even the lights turn on. I've tried a bunch of things already: checking all connections, testing each RAM stick in every slot, confirming the PSU works with the pin method, ensuring the GPU was running fine in another PC, shorting the power switch, and reseating all components. I'd really appreciate any help or suggestions you guys might have. Thanks!

Have you made sure that your 8-pin or 2x4 CPU power connector is properly plugged into the motherboard? Sometimes, missing that connection can cause issues like this.
It looks like you might be dealing with a faulty motherboard or CPU, especially since you mentioned the RAM works fine in reviews. Definitely check into that.
Thanks for the input! I’ll get it professionally diagnosed, but I really hope it’s not the CPU.
A few thoughts: 1) Running your PC without RAM is a no-go. 2) In the future, be cautious about buying parts from AliExpress. 3) Try booting with just one stick of RAM. 4) Research your motherboard’s compatibility with the RAM you bought—sometimes that can lead to BIOS issues. It’s possible that you’re facing faulty hardware, so best of luck!
Yeah, I’m worried it might be the RAM since I found a lot of reviews saying it doesn’t work well with certain setups.

Yeah, my PSU has a 2x4 connector labeled for CPU, so I think that's connected properly.
