Tips for Traveling with My PC When Moving Countries

I'm moving to another country and want to bring my relatively new PC with me. My PC case is a Fractal North, which is a bit too big for a carry-on. I'm thinking about removing the GPU (a 4090), RAM, and CPU air cooler to keep them in my carry-on, while I'll pack the rest of the PC in a suitcase, securing everything I can and taping down the loose cables. Is it okay to leave the CPU, NVMe drives, and PSU inside the case, or should I take more parts out? What issues should I watch out for with this plan?

I would recommend packing the GPU and CPU cooler separately, but you can leave the RAM in. It should be fine as long as the case is cushioned well. Using some inflatable packing foam could help, but many prebuilt PCs are shipped safely with all components intact, so you should be good. Just remember to brace everything well before you fly!

I have the original box for my case, so I think I’ll use that for the remaining parts and pack everything with foam or clothes for extra cushioning. I’m a little anxious about the motherboard and CPU surviving the trip, but maybe I'm overthinking it?
