How do I properly credit FontAwesome icons in my project?

Hey everyone! I'm working on a web app and I'm using FontAwesome icons for social media links, but I'm unsure about how to give proper attribution. I mainly used the free icons from their website. I've gone through their free license page and I'm still confused about which license applies to my usage. Can someone clarify how I should credit these icons both in my web app and in the README file? Thanks!

You can absolutely credit FontAwesome by using the CC BY 4.0 license. Just make sure to link back to their site somewhere in your project. A common practice is to add a small note in your footer or about section. Something like: "Icons made by FontAwesome from www.fontawesome.com" would work. It's a good way to acknowledge their work!

Just to add on, since you’re using the link tag for icons, the SIL license also applies. You can mention both licenses to be clear. Better safe than sorry!
