Is $230 a Good Price for the 9060 XT 8GB?

I'm considering purchasing the 9060 XT with 8GB of VRAM for $230. I know 8GB is on the lower side these days, but the cheapest 16GB version is around $330. I'm planning to game at 1080p, so I'm curious if anyone thinks this price point is reasonable or if I should invest in a different card, like a 3070 instead.

Honestly, if you can get a 3070 for around that price or a tad more, it might be the better investment. It delivers more power even with less VRAM, which is something to think about depending on your gaming habits. But it really all comes down to what games you’re playing and how long you want the card to last!

That's a pretty reasonable price for the 9060 XT at $230. If you're gaming at 1080p, it should handle most games just fine. Go for it!

It's a good deal overall, but bear in mind that while it saves you money now, you might look to upgrade sooner than you'd like. If you want to keep your card for around four years, consider the higher VRAM options. But for $230, it seems like it's still worth it if you mostly play 1080p games.

Good point! I usually upgrade every few years, so I have to keep that in mind.

I'm using a 9060 XT 8GB right now. I was able to run games at 1440p with decent settings and get around 100-120 FPS, so for 1080p gaming, you should be in a good spot. I've decided to return it for the 16GB version for future-proofing, though.

What games are you playing that run well at those settings?

At that price, it's pretty decent! If you have a library of games that are fine with 8GB at 1080p, it's a solid choice. But if you plan on upgrading your resolution or keeping it for a long time, maybe opt for the 16GB version for peace of mind.

I'm planning to keep it for about 4-5 years, so I might go for the higher VRAM option.
