I'm looking at a used RTX 2080 Ti for €260 and am planning to buy it soon. It's an older card, so I'm wondering how well it can handle gaming in 2025, particularly at 3440x1440 resolution. I primarily play League of Legends and some older co-op games. Right now, I have an RX 570 that runs games like LoL and War Thunder at 100 fps on medium settings. My current CPU is a 2600X, but I have a chance to upgrade to a 5600 for €60. Is the 2080 Ti a good move for my budget?

It’s good enough for 1440p, especially for games like League of Legends. Just keep in mind it might struggle with newer AAA titles at higher settings.
The 2080 Ti is still a solid GPU. It’s a little pricey for a used card, though. I think €200 would be a fairer price if you can negotiate.
Just be wary—2080 Tis have been heavily mined, which could affect their longevity. For €260, you might find better alternatives available, especially given new GPUs can sometimes be found close to that price now.
You might want to consider looking for a 3070 instead, especially at that price range. But if you’re set on the 2080 Ti, it’s still a decent option for 1440p gaming—it just might not be the best deal right now.
But honestly, the 2080 Ti does have more VRAM than a 3070, which might help in some situations.
If you’re tight on budget, the 2080 Ti is still a better option than some newer models like the 4060 Ti. It performs pretty well in a variety of games, though sometimes it may fall behind the newer cards.
Yeah, I agree! I still hit decent fps in 1080p with high settings on Battlefield games.
