Hey everyone! I need some advice on disposing of my old computer, which has become a bit of a nightmare. It's wrapped in bags and unfortunately, it has dried up roach carcasses in it. I've been sitting on this for a while, and I think the hard drive is toast. I know there are a few decent parts in there, like a GTX 970 and 16GB of DDR4 RAM, but honestly, I'm not sure if it's even worth salvaging due to the gross factor. I have to move soon and can't take it with me. Should I throw it straight into the trash or is there a better way to get rid of it?

Your GPU and RAM still have some value, but just barely. Unless you’re really frugal, it might not be worth your time to clean and sell the parts. It could take a lot of effort to get them out and then list them. If it's too gross for you, I'd recommend just tossing it. You might look for a local e-waste recycling program, too!
If you're not planning to touch it again, that sounds like a good move! You could also check if anyone nearby is interested in picking it up—even if it’s just for scrap.
