Hey everyone, I have a quick question about my new iPhone 16. I got it about a month and a half ago after using an iPhone 14 for 2 to 2.5 years, and honestly, the battery life on this new one feels worse. I charged it at work to 69% at 5 PM, and by 8:49 PM, after some background to heavy usage, it was down to just 12%. I also checked the battery capacity with the AIDA64 app, and it shows 3274, but I heard it should be around 3500. This fast battery drain is really frustrating, especially since I've never had an iPhone lose power this quickly before, and I've been using them for over a decade. My 30-day warranty from Verizon is up, but I'm wondering if I should get AppleCare to help with potential battery issues or replacements. I usually like Apple products, but with the problems I'm experiencing and even some issues with Siri, I'm starting to consider switching to Android if this keeps happening.

You should definitely reach out to Apple! Since it's a new phone and you're having battery issues, they might be able to help you out with a replacement or at least provide some solutions. As for getting AppleCare, I think it's a good idea, especially since you’re already experiencing problems. It might save you some headaches in the long run!
Thanks for the input! That's kind of what I was thinking too, it just feels wrong for a new phone to struggle like this.
