I'm looking for secure file-sharing tools or apps to share sensitive documents with clients outside our organization. We currently block common platforms like Google Drive and Dropbox due to tracking issues. We're in need of a solution similar to a secure data vault where we can manage files securely with features like file expiration dates and detailed audit logs. While we use OneDrive and SharePoint, we're considering a more structured approach, possibly leveraging AWS. Any recommendations for tools or methods that fit these requirements would be greatly appreciated!

Progress Moveit Cloud could also work well—it has robust audit logging features along with SSO and MFA support for safe external sharing. Sounds like it might fit your needs perfectly.
If you're feeling adventurous, I did something similar without expensive tools. Used Yubikeys and GPG for secure file uploads via SFTP. Very secure since the data never leaves the encrypted environment. Might be more work than you want, but it sure beats the risks!
Citrix ShareFile seems to be a good match for what you're asking for. Egnyte can also be an option if you can manage a bit more complexity. Both offer decent audit capabilities.
Have you looked into AWS WorkDocs or perhaps a custom S3 setup? With pre-signed URLs, detailed audit logs, and file expiration features, it could be a solid choice for securely sharing files while maintaining tracking.
You might want to check out Microsoft Purview. It offers document protection with information rights management, allowing you to track and control access even after downloads. It's been really effective for us, especially in sensitive situations. I highly recommend it!
I agree! We've used it too and it's been a lifesaver for keeping control over sensitive documents.
Just a heads-up, though—AWS WorkDocs is shutting down soon, so you might want to look for alternatives.
