Is Linux Mint XFCE or Zorin OS a good choice for my slow laptop?

Hey everyone! I'm considering installing either Linux Mint XFCE or Zorin OS on my old laptop, which has pretty limited specs: 4GB of RAM and an Intel Celeron M3060 processor running at 1.60GHz. The graphics card is quite weak at just 114MB, and I've currently got Windows 10 installed. I've heard that because of my processor, it's going to be slow no matter what OS I choose. I also want to know if there will be any issues connecting HDMI and speakers since those are important to me. So, does switching to either of these Linux distros make sense?

Absolutely! I'd suggest going with Linux Mint XFCE. It's lightweight and should run smoothly on your hardware. You might also want to check out Linux Lite or MX Linux; both have decent performance on slower systems. Just keep in mind that if you're interested in more options, Debian with XFCE is another solid choice.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll probably stick with Linux Mint XFCE and explore fixes if I run into any problems.
