Why am I getting stutters while playing Rust on my decent PC?

I've got a pretty solid setup with an RTX 3060, a Ryzen 7 5700 X3D, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. My parts are in good condition and typically don't overheat. However, I'm struggling to run Rust smoothly, experiencing stutters even though I meet the game's recommended specs. I've tried a clean GPU driver installation, lowered the game settings significantly, and enabled XMP in my BIOS. The stuttering mainly happens when I access my inventory or look at other players—especially when I look at my player model or other moving characters—causing a noticeable drop in frame rates. I'm really at a loss for solutions, and I'm hoping someone can offer some tips!

It sounds like you've done a fair bit of troubleshooting already! Just to cover all bases, are you sure your HDMI is plugged directly into your GPU? Sometimes it gets plugged into the motherboard by accident. Also, check if your RAM is properly seated in slots 2 and 4. What kind of SSD are you using to run Rust? An NVMe like the WD_BLACK is great, but make sure you've got enough free space—ideally at least 20% of your drive should be free.

I think it might help to try reinstalling Rust again, but also verify if your main C drive has about 20% free space as well. It's weird that you've uninstalled it several times without success. Maybe there’s a background process eating up resources? Just a thought!
