What Happens If I Clicked a Suspicious Link?

Hey everyone! I'm kind of new here and need some advice. I was browsing Twitter and found this post about a tariff raise involving a vtuber named Rev. Someone in the replies posted a link to a site called nameviddblogspot—totally not familiar with any of this, but it seemed sketchy. I found out that the profile sharing the link might be a bot since they repeat it a lot.

So, I ended up clicking the link (yikes!), but I quickly tabbed out and ran a scan with MalwareBytes. Thankfully, it didn't find anything. Still, I'm a bit paranoid about the whole thing! ChatGPT suggested that it might have been malicious, so I'm wondering if I should be worried or if I'm just overthinking it? Any thoughts?

Just a heads up, Blogspot is a platform that many people abuse to share spam or sketchy content. It’s surprising it’s still around. Best to steer clear of random links like that in the future! You're good this time, but definitely stay cautious.

You're totally fine as long as nothing was downloaded! Nice job being proactive and running that scan. Just keep an eye out for anything unusual on your computer for a bit.

As long as you didn't download or install anything from that site, you should be fine! It's good that you acted quickly though. Switching to browsers like Brave or Firefox with an ad blocker can really help avoid clicking on links like that in the future.
