How do I clean my SSD for Ubuntu Installation?

I'm trying to install Ubuntu LTS on my SSD, but I ran into a problem. It says that the installation is taking up 930GB, which doesn't make sense since the actual installation file is much smaller. I need help figuring out how to clean my SSD properly so I can get Linux working on it—any distro that supports Steam would be great!

Before diving into any solution, let's try to clarify what's happening. Make sure to check the size of the files you're downloading and ensure you have enough space on your SSD. It's usually supposed to be much smaller than what you're seeing!

It’s important to make sure your question is clear before anyone can help you effectively. Have you gone through the installation guide on the Ubuntu homepage yet? It might provide the clarity you need.

What do you see when you try to boot from the SSD? It's a bit unclear if you’re stuck at the downloading phase or if you’re trying to install it directly. Just so you know, Ubuntu's file size is actually around 5.9GB, not 930GB! Check the official website for the right version you need.
