I was all set to buy a 9070XT but I started looking into its performance, especially in ray tracing. I found a benchmark video that suggested its FPS in games like Wukong is significantly lower compared to the 5070, and I'm curious if this performance is due to a bottleneck or if it's just an isolated issue. I have the same CPU as in the video, so I'd love to hear what others think about the 9070XT's ray tracing capabilities before I make a purchase decision.

It's a mixed bag. The 9070XT takes a bigger hit on frame times in more intensive ray tracing tasks compared to the 5070Ti, so you're mostly seeing those performance gaps in complex ray tracing workloads. This is especially noticeable in path tracing.
Overall, the 9070XT is pretty close to the 5070Ti in ray tracing, definitely not as far behind as it used to be with earlier generations. And remember, a card like the 5070Ti does slightly outperform the 9070XT, especially as games start adopting more demanding RT technology.
AMD's RDNA4 architecture has made big strides in ray tracing performance, but Nvidia still holds the edge. If ray tracing is a priority for you, it might be worth considering spending more on an Nvidia option for better future-proofing.
True, but only 13-17% behind isn't that huge of a gap when you consider the performance in other titles.
