I'm looking to upgrade my pre-built gaming PC for better future performance. Here are the specs: I have an AMD Ryzen 5 9600 CPU, a motherboard that supports the latest tech, a Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card with 8GB VRAM, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, a 512GB NVME SSD, and a 500W power supply. Since I'm in university and won't be upgrading often, I want to make sure it can last me at least 6 years. I'm considering upgrading the GPU to a 16GB version. Definitely consider upgrading the GPU to the 16GB model. It's also a great idea to bump your RAM up to 32GB for better multi-tasking and future-proofing. Just keep an eye on that power supply; it looks a bit iffy for long-term use.
Yeah, I agree about the GPU upgrade. Also, try to aim for at least 1TB of storage, and think about a power supply of 850 watts or more for better reliability. If you're up for it, building your own could save you some cash, but I get that pre-builts can be cheaper sometimes.
