Need Help Building a PC That Can Run Specific Software and Games

I'm looking to build a PC that can handle a long list of software and games. Specifically, I need it to run Steam, Blender, and various games like Minecraft, Terraria, Portal, Ori games, and plenty more, including VR games and indie titles. However, there are games I explicitly want it not to be able to run, mostly from developers like Capcom, Rockstar, EA, and Ubisoft, as well as zombie and dragon-slaying games. I'm also particular about NVIDIA graphics cards; I don't want any TI models, but I'm open to suggestions otherwise. If you have any recommendations or insights on how to approach this, I'd really appreciate it!

Honestly, it’s tricky to pinpoint a build that doesn't run specific games while still being powerful enough for what you need. If you’re worried about performance, I'd suggest going for a solid CPU and GPU combo, as most setups should run your list just fine. It seems like you might be overthinking the exclusions, as most of the gaming community might not even touch any of the games you mentioned avoiding, so you should be good!

True, I just have a lot of games I want to focus on. I guess I’m just a bit picky!

Most modern gaming PCs should be able to handle your list without any issues. Just figure out your budget first and then look for a build that fits. As for excluding TI models, I get the preferences, but they generally perform well and often use the same hardware as non-TI models. But if you're adamant, there are still plenty of great options with standard models! If it feels overwhelming, you could also ask for help on communities like r/buildapcforme.

Exactly! And don't hesitate to check out reviews; often the same chip is just marketed differently. Just make sure your specs align with your software requirements.
