How Can I Test a Used PC’s Performance Before Buying?

I'm looking to buy a second-hand PC and want to make sure it runs well since the seller isn't willing to download any games for testing. The computer is equipped with a 16GB GPU and a 3.7 GHz CPU, and I plan to use it mainly for Minecraft. Since it has a browser installed, I'm wondering how I can test its processing capability to ensure the hardware is still reliable and hasn't deteriorated over time.

If you want something easy, you could use the free mobile version of 3D Mark. Just put it on a flash drive and run it directly from there.

You can check the specs of the PC yourself, but I understand your worry. Sometimes, GPUs can degrade over time, affecting performance. It's good to be cautious!

I have the specs already, but I'm just concerned about whether the GPU might not be performing as well due to age.

There are a ton of free benchmarking tools out there! You can stress test different components like the GPU, CPU, RAM, or Storage without needing to install any games.

That’s exactly what I needed! I found the Superposition benchmark test and tried it out on my laptop, but I'm a bit lost on how to interpret the results. Specifically, for running multiplayer on Minecraft, what kind of benchmarks should I be looking for?
