What’s Causing My PC to Crash Randomly?

I'm experiencing some weird issues with my PC and I'm looking for help! Sometimes, when I close the drawer it's sitting on a bit harder, my screen goes black, the fans go into overdrive, and the system freezes up. I have to use a tool like a toothpick or pencil to hit the reset button because it's recessed. This isn't just happening from the drawer closing though; it crashes randomly when I'm using it too. If I'm just on the desktop, there's about a 10% chance of a crash. But when I launch a light game like RimWorld, it jumps to around 50%, and with something heavier like Red Dead Redemption 2, it's about 80%! Surprisingly, these crashes seem to happen more in the mornings and become less frequent as the day goes on. My GPU is an RTX 3060, and when the crashes happen, the LED logo on it turns off, which makes me think the problem might be related to my GPU or the PSU. I also faced another odd issue: after struggling to run Arma 3 without crashing, I vigorously pressed the reset button and even unplugged/replugged the DisplayPort cable, which ultimately led to a "memory overclock fail" error on reboot. Here are my specs: CPU is a 12th gen Intel Core i7-12700F, RAM is 32GB, and I'm using a 700W Xilence PSU. Recently, I've noticed a faint electrical buzzing sound whenever it crashes randomly, which happens not just from drawer movement.

It sounds like you might have a problem with either your PSU or motherboard. Those symptoms of crashing could point to power delivery issues especially if the PSU is older or failing. Have you tried reseating all the connections? Sometimes a loose connection can cause these kinds of problems.

Yeah, I definitely recommend checking all your connections. A bad power connection can really mess things up. If you haven't already, give it a go!

I mean, if you're hearing a buzzing sound before the crash, that could be a sign of electrical issues. It might be worth looking into replacing the PSU, especially since it's a Xilence model, which isn't the most reputable. Just make sure whatever you're swapping to has the right specs for your build!
