Advice Needed for My First PC Build: Parts List and Cooling Tips

Hey everyone! I've been using an HP Omen desktop for about 7 years, but it's not compatible with Windows 11 due to its older processor, and it's getting pretty slow. Instead of going for a pre-built system that I can't find much appeal in, I've decided to build my own PC. I primarily play games like Hearthstone, CoD, Mortal Kombat, Overwatch, and Dead by Daylight. I aim for this new build to last me just as long, if not longer than my current setup.

Here's the parts list I've put together:
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- Motherboard: MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI
- Memory: Kingston FURY 32 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 16GB)
- Graphics Card: Gainward GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Phoenix V1
- SSD: SAMSUNG 990 PRO 4TB
- Case: Sharkoon Elite Shark CA300T Big Tower Black
- PSU: Be Quiet! Pure Power 12M 850W

For cooling, I have:
- Processor Cooler: Be Quiet! Pure Rock 3 Black
- Case Fans: Lian Li UNI FAN SL-INFINITY 120 ARGB Reverse Blade triple pack

I'm a bit unsure about the fans and the PSU. I just picked some that looked decent, and I want to check if the processor cooler is sufficient for the CPU. The case already has three front fans and one back fan, so do I need additional fans for better airflow?

I'd appreciate any advice on whether my parts are compatible and if there's anything in my list known to cause issues. Also, I'm looking for tips on fans and the PSU!

Nice work! I'd skip the pre-built options as they can be a rip-off. The motherboard you chose is good, but consider switching to the MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi for better features. Your RAM is perfect, and the SSD is top-notch. As for cooling, an AIO cooler might be even better than the Be Quiet! cooler you chose. Also, you probably won’t need extra case fans since your case should provide good airflow already!

Your build is looking pretty good! Just make sure you double-check the GPU; it's a key component for any gaming rig, and it's so easy to overlook. Sounds like you're ready to rock!

Looks like you've put together a solid build! Just make sure your graphics card is included because that's crucial for gaming. The 9800X3D is an awesome CPU, but it won't perform well without a good GPU. Also, for RAM, you want to stick with 6000CL30 for a balanced setup. Just double-check that card is in there!

Thanks, I added the graphics card now. I heard about 6000CL30 being a good spot too!

Overall, I really like your parts list! Great CPU, good motherboard, and generous RAM. The PSU seems fine too. One thing about the cooler: Be Quiet! is solid, but you might find it a bit noisy under load. If you're open to it, look for dual tower coolers that can provide better performance for less noise. Otherwise, you're on the right track!
