Hey everyone! I'm a beginner in web development and I've been hearing the term "vibe code" thrown around a lot. I want to better understand what it means to help me improve my skills. When some developers comment that a project has "vibe code", what are they really noticing? I'd appreciate any tips on how to identify "vibe code" projects so I can focus on creating quality work instead of picking up bad habits. Thanks!

"Vibe coded" is often used to describe projects that seem flashy but lack substance. You'll usually notice things like inconsistent design elements or features that look great at first but break when you click around. It's like they toss in too many gradients, neon colors, or random icons without thinking about accessibility or how it performs. Basically, if a site looks good superficially but feels clunky and fragile, it might be vibe coded. It doesn't follow any strict rules, but it's a good sign to pay attention to how everything works together!

Great answer. I've been telling another user not to encourage certain design habits not because their work is bad, but to avoid teaching those mistakes to newcomers.
