I'm currently using an AM4 setup and I've got a 5060. I'm planning to upgrade to AM5 once I've saved enough money, but I'd like to make sure my current 5060 can still handle the games and editing software (music and video) I use until then. If I decide to upgrade, what specifications should I focus on that are affordable?

For your upgrade, I’d recommend looking at the 7600, 7600X, or even the 9600X paired with a B650 or B850 motherboard. Opt for 32GB of RAM (2x16GB) with a speed of 6000 and a CAS latency of 30 to get great performance without splurging too much.
