Need Help Choosing Between Intel CPUs for My Upgrade

Hey everyone! I've been upgrading my PC over the years, but my knowledge about the latest components is a bit rusty. My current setup has an i7-8700K, and I've recently upgraded my GPU to a 3060 Ti. Now, I'm looking to upgrade my CPU but there's a lot of mixed information out there about recent Intel chips having issues. I'm leaning towards Intel again since I've had a positive experience, but I'm unsure about which CPU to choose. The 13700K is priced higher than the 14700K, but I've heard both have reliability issues. Also, I love my Gigabyte Z390 motherboard, and I'm considering pairing the new CPU with a B760 Gaming Edition. Should I go with DDR4 or make the leap to DDR5, which would require a significant additional investment? Any tips or advice would be hugely appreciated!

Honestly, a lot of people have been recommending AMD systems lately due to Intel's reported issues with the 13th and 14th gen CPUs. Just make sure to check the latest BIOS updates if you decide to stick with Intel. The risks can be worth considering. Here's a link that explains some ongoing issues: [Intel's CPU Problems](https://www.pcworld.com/article/2415697/intels-crashing-13th-14th-gen-cpu-nightmare-explained.html).

I get your concern, but switching to AMD would likely take more time. I’m not too thrilled by AMD's options either; I saw the 9800X3D is more expensive but not performing as well as the i7-14700K.
