Why Does My PC Keep Shutting Off Randomly?

I built my PC about three years ago and it generally ran smoothly until recently. Here's a link to my parts list: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/X33jrM]. I purchased a used RTX 3060 from Amazon, which was fine up until now, except for some driver issues with the NVIDIA app that I managed to fix using DDU uninstaller. Before finishing my build, I got a be quiet! Pure Rock 2 aftermarket cooler because the stock one was overheating. Lately, my PC has been shutting off randomly within five minutes of startup, even when it's just idling. The case fans start spinning, but the PC doesn't turn back on without a force shutdown. I checked the temperatures and they're normal—70°C at the most—which seems odd given the shutdowns. Even now, as I'm typing this, my PC refuses to turn off. I'm open to suggestions and can run tests if needed!

Have you tried changing some settings in your BIOS? Start by loading optimized defaults and make sure XMP is turned off. Since the issue happens even while idling, it could be related to C-states. Look for something called "Power Supply Idle Control" and set it to "Typical." If that doesn’t help, consider checking the global C-state settings and disabling them. You might also want to set manual SOC, fabric, and core voltages. Additionally, try running your system with less connected hardware—like disconnecting unnecessary peripherals or disabling network and Wi-Fi devices.

It sounds like your PSU could be faulty. That's a common reason for random shutdowns. Even if it’s new, they can sometimes have issues.
