I'm dealing with a Yahoo redirect malware on my computer and it's really stressing me out. I want to download Bitdefender since I've heard good things about it, but I'm unable to do so while this malware is active. I'm worried about the safety of my PC. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

First, try booting your PC in safe mode with internet access. While in safe mode, you should be able to download an antivirus. Once it's downloaded, run a scan to detect and hopefully remove the malware.
If you’re not very tech-savvy, the simplest solution might actually be to wipe your PC and do a fresh install. However, if you want to try fixing it without a complete reset, here are some tips: First, check if your browser has been switched; go into your settings and uninstall any non-standard browsers. Next, review your browser's extensions and disable any you don't recognize. It's also a good idea to check for suspicious apps in your system settings and uninstall them. Finally, you can adjust startup apps and services to prevent any unwanted programs from running. Just remember, this is more of a cleanup than a guaranteed fix, so consider a fresh install if those methods don’t work.

Thanks for the tips! I was able to find the malware thanks to your advice, it's named ManualFinderApp. I'm struggling to uninstall it now, any suggestions?
