I've put together a gaming PC build for about $1400, aimed at achieving 1440p resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate. I went slightly over budget, but I'm curious if anyone has suggestions to further optimize this setup beyond my current research. Here's the link to my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yfTkQd. Thanks for any insights!

Just a thought, since you're using the Ryzen 5 7600, you might want to consider the Ryzen 7 7700 if you can find it at a similar price. It’s worked wonders for me on 1440p gaming, and I have to cap the FPS on a lot of games due to hitting the limits!
Depending on the prices out there, a Ryzen 9600X might also be worth considering—I've seen it just about $10 more than the 7600, and for the performance, that's a steal! Your setup looks awesome already; I'm building something almost identical. Just for reference, I’ve seen folks mention the 7700 as well, but I understand your hesitation about buying used parts.
You might be in luck! I found an open box Ryzen 7 7700 for $200 on eBay. Just make sure to search around a bit, as prices can vary a lot!
Is it safe to buy used parts on eBay? If there's an issue, can I return it?
Your build is looking pretty solid as it is! To squeeze out a bit more without compromising on performance, I'd recommend some components in this list:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600 3.8 GHz 6-Core Processor
- Motherboard: ASRock B850M Pro-A WiFi Micro ATX AM5
- RAM: Silicon Power Value Gaming 32 GB DDR5-6000
- Storage: TEAMGROUP MP44L 1 TB NVMe SSD
- GPU: Asus PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
- Case: Montech XR ATX Mid Tower
- PSU: Montech CENTURY II 850W
This totals around $1378.73, so it’s still within your budget range! Check it out here: [PCPartPicker List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mYms3w)
Thanks for the suggestions! Do you think the Gigabyte B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI motherboard would be a better choice?
If you live near a Microcenter, they have a sweet deal for $399 that includes a Ryzen 7600X3D, a motherboard, and 32GB of RAM. It could really boost your performance, especially in terms of 1% lows compared to the 7600X!
I can’t find any deals for the 7700 at the price point you mentioned!
