Hey everyone! I'm new to Linux and need some help picking the right version for my ASUS TUF F15, which is currently running Windows 10. I'm not interested in upgrading to Windows 11. I've been looking into Linux Mint since it seems beginner-friendly, but I've heard mixed opinions about its gaming performance. I mainly play single-player games like No Man's Sky and World of Warships, and I'm curious about how Linux can handle them. Since I'm totally new to this, I'm not sure where to start!

Hey! I also have an ASUS TUF and totally understand where you’re coming from. A great way to test out different Linux distros is by using Live USBs. You can just boot from a USB stick without installing anything on your computer. Try making a couple of USBs with Linux Mint and maybe a few other distros like Debian to see which one suits you best. This way, you can safely explore and find out what works for gaming without any commitment!

If you have limited USBs, consider using Ventoy. It lets you store multiple ISOs on a single USB, making it easier to switch between different versions without needing several drives.
