Hey everyone! I've been experiencing issues with my PC not handling larger games well, so I checked my SSD and found it's hitting its limits really fast. I recently purchased a 1TB Samsung 980 SSD, but I've run into a problem because my computer only has SATA cables. I'm hesitant to use an adapter since I've heard they might limit the speed to SATA levels. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

First off, can you let us know what motherboard you’re using? That helps figure out the best way to install your new SSD.
To check your motherboard slots, you can usually open your case and look directly or you can check the specifications on the manufacturer's website. Just make sure your PC is powered off and unplugged when you do!
If your motherboard has an extra PCIe slot, you can get a PCIe to NVMe adapter, which will allow you to achieve the SSD's full speed. If not, you might have to settle for a SATA to NVMe adapter, which will limit your speeds. Check your motherboard's manual or look it up online to confirm the available slots!

I think it's a STGAUBRON ZRD5104.
