Hey everyone! I've been running some performance tests on my GTX 1660 Ti and during a session with the Heaven benchmark, I noticed that the GPU temperature hit 73°C and the hotspot temperature reached 87°C. I primarily play Fallout 76, which tends to max out the GPU. Are these temperature readings typical for a GTX 1660 Ti? If they're on the higher side, would replacing the thermal paste help? I'm curious about reusing the original thermal pads since I can't find replacements nearby.

You're all good! Just keep in mind that if your room temperature is pretty high, that could impact your GPU's performance too. I'm running in a warmer space and my temps are fine.
Those temperatures are pretty average for a GPU like the 1660 Ti. I'd be more concerned if it hit over 80°C. Until then, it seems like you're okay! A good rule of thumb is that throttling often doesn't start until around 83°C, and the GPU is designed to handle those temperatures without issues.
Good to know! I’ll monitor it closely.
Thanks, I'll also check if the GPU exceeds 80°C during prolonged use, but for now I'll take your word for it!
Yeah, that's perfectly fine! No need to stress about those numbers.
Appreciate it! I'll wait a bit longer before considering any repasting or cleaning.
Thanks! My room is definitely above 21°C, but that seems to suggest my GPU is doing just fine.
