Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new PC and I've got a 1TB NVMe drive that boasts an impressive speed of 7,150 MB/s, which I'm planning to dedicate for my Steam games. My question is whether it's better to install Windows on a regular SSD (I have a WD Green 1TB that runs at 545 MB/s) or should I just put it on the faster NVMe drive? Thanks for the help!

I highly recommend installing your OS on the NVMe drive. It makes everything load faster! If you can, store both your OS and Steam games on that NVMe – that’s the best setup for performance.

Honestly, it probably doesn’t make a huge difference, but since you already have the NVMe setup, you might as well use it for your OS! It's definitely going to be quicker than the SSD if you install Windows there.
But isn't Windows going to run faster on the NVMe which has a speed of 7GB? That should help with overall performance, right?
So, the ideal setup would be to have both Windows and my games on the same NVMe? Got it!
