Hey everyone! I'm building a desktop for gaming at 3440x1440 on an AW34 monitor and trying to stick to a white color theme. I'm planning to buy the motherboard brand new but would love to find a budget-friendly option that matches the aesthetic. Any suggestions? I also found a 420mm Arctic Liquid Freezer II AIO for $80, but I'm curious if the Lian Li is worth the extra $100? I'd really appreciate any other tips or potential changes to my build as I'm looking to grab most of these parts second-hand soon. Here's what I've got so far:

|Component|Model|Price ($CAD)|
|:-|:-|:-|
|GPU|5080 FE|$1450|
|CPU|9800xc3|$560|
|Motherboard|ASUS ROG STRIX B850-A|$320|
|RAM|Team TForce Delta 32gb DDR5|$120|
|SSD|TEAMGROUP MP44Q 1TB PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 2280|$85|
|PSU|Corsair RM850X|$100|
|AIO|LIAN LI HydroShift LCD 360R|$180|
|Case|Hyte Y60 White|$250|
||Total|$3065|

Your build looks solid! But you could actually save some cash by choosing a 5070 Ti instead of the 5080 FE; you’ll get similar performance with less VRAM. Also, for cooling, a decent air cooler can be cheaper than an AIO, letting you pocket around $100. And for the SSD, I'd recommend going for at least a 2TB if you play a lot of games at once – 1TB fills up pretty fast! Just a heads up, you mentioned 4K gaming but your resolution is 3440x1440, which is just 1440p, so keep that in mind when planning your performance expectations.

Thanks for your input! I’m considering some offers on 5070 Ti's, and I found a PNY for $1115. Any good? Also, I just really like the look of AIOs, so I’m leaning that way. As for the SSD, I’ll probably upgrade to 2TB if I go with the 5070 Ti.

I think a 360 or 420mm AIO might be overkill for the 9800X3D, mainly because you'll only really be gaining aesthetic value. So, it’s really up to how much you value that Lian Li look for an extra $100.

If the Lian Li is all about aesthetics, maybe check out the Thermalright FW 240 White for a solid performance without breaking the bank!
