Can I Use a Regular GPU with a Mini PC?

I have a mini PC and a monitor, and I'm considering getting a regular desktop RTX GPU. My plan is to connect the GPU to the monitor's display port and power the GPU using a PSU. Is this feasible? I really have no idea if this will work or how to go about it!

Connecting a desktop GPU to a mini PC directly isn't straightforward. You typically need a way for the GPU to interface with the mini PC, like a PCIe slot. Without that, you can’t just plug the GPU into the monitor. I'm curious about what you're trying to achieve, though!

I'm just trying to boost the GPU performance since I already have a powerful mini PC and can’t afford a full desktop setup.
