Hey everyone! I recently got a refurbished Apple Watch Ultra and I'm trying to pair it with my iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is running iOS version 18.6.2. Unfortunately, every time I try to pair them, I get a message saying my iPhone needs to be updated. I've already tried rebooting both devices, unpairing my old Apple Watch, attempting manual pairing (the watch doesn't show up), resetting my network settings, and even resetting the Apple Watch. I'm hoping someone can provide a solution without making me send the watch back. Thanks a bunch!

It sounds like your Apple Watch Ultra might be running on the WatchOS 26 beta, which would require your iPhone to be on the iOS 26 beta as well to pair. The public release for iOS 26 is coming on September 15th, so if that's the case, you might have to wait for the official update to pair them successfully.
If you're looking for immediate solutions, you could try resetting your Apple Watch to factory settings and then attempt pairing it again. Sometimes a clean start can help get past the pairing issue. Also, ensure that your iPhone is fully updated to the latest stable version of iOS.
