I'm trying to decide between the Gigabyte B850 Aorus Elite Wifi7 priced at $189.99 and the MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk Wifi at $219.99 for my upcoming build. I plan to use a 7800X3D CPU, a Gigabyte 9070 XT OC GPU, a PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD, and a 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 RAM kit. From what I gather, the Gigabyte seems to be a lower-end B850 motherboard while the MSI appears to be a higher-end B650. I'd love to know what you all recommend given my components! I'd say go for the B850 motherboard. It’s a solid choice and more cost-effective given your setup.
The Aorus Elite is actually Gigabyte’s top B850 board, and it offers better value than the B650 Tomahawk at that price point. If you're looking for something even more budget-friendly, the Gigabyte Gaming X or even the cheaper Eagle would work just fine with your CPU.
Ah, got it. Really appreciate that breakdown. I actually already ordered the Gigabyte motherboard but was contemplating cancelling/returning. I think I'm just going to keep it now when it arrives!
