Help! Can’t Create a Bootable USB for Linux Mint

I'm trying to create a bootable USB with the Linux Mint ISO files I downloaded, both the Cinnamon and XFCE versions. However, I'm having trouble with the tools I'm using. When I try to use Rufus, the ISO files don't show up in the selection window. On the other hand, BalenaEtcher throws an error when I attempt to select the ISO files: "Error: (0 , h.requestMetadata) is not a function." Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it?

I recommend trying Ventoy instead. It's been a lifesaver for many in creating bootable USBs and generally works without any hassle. Just a thought!

Honestly, I’ve had much better luck using either Ventoy or Fedora Media Writer instead of Rufus. They’re really user-friendly and usually don’t throw any errors. You might want to give them a shot!

I also use the Raspberry Pi Imager for this kind of stuff! It’s really straightforward and gets the job done.

Are you using Windows? Sometimes, Windows Defender can block Rufus from accessing the USB. You might need to whitelist Rufus in the Windows Defender settings under 'Protected Folder Access'. Give that a try!
