Hey everyone! I've just ordered some new components and I'm curious if my 850W power supply will be sufficient. Here's what I've got coming:
- RTX 5070 Ti
- Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- 32GB of 6000MT/s CL30 RAM
- Lian-Li Hydroshift II watercooler
- Montech King Pro case
- Two 2TB M.2 NVMe SSDs
I've run a few power calculators online, and they're suggesting around 760W. Just wanted to double-check if 850W will be safe for my setup. Thanks!

Yes, 850W is a solid choice, just make sure you go for a reputable brand. A quality PSU will give you the peace of mind you need when running all that hardware.
Absolutely, 850W should be more than enough for your build. Your system won't even hit that 760W target. Most of the online calculators tend to be conservative, so you're in good shape. Typically, during gaming, you’ll be pulling around 400W on average, which leaves you plenty of headroom.
I’ve got a similar setup, but with air cooling instead of water cooling, and I run mine on 850W without any issues. You should be just fine!

What kind of temps are you getting on your CPU with air cooling? I know the Lian Li Hydroshift is pricey, so I'm expecting it to perform really well.
