I'm about to buy a laptop specifically for running Linux, and I've decided on Ubuntu. However, I'm pretty much a beginner and would love some suggestions on where to learn the basics of using Linux. Any recommended resources or tips would be super helpful!

I started my Linux journey with a site called Labex, specifically their Linux Journey course. It was really helpful for getting a handle on the basics! Check it out: labex.io/linuxjourney.
Have you thought about trying Ubuntu in a virtual machine on your current device before committing to a new laptop? It might help you get comfortable without any major investment right away.
I've considered it, but I'm also getting a new laptop as a second computer, so I'm taking this chance to learn Linux on it.
There’s a really useful resources page in the Linux4Noobs wiki that could help you out! Also, do a search for 'learning' topics on that subreddit for more tips. Just remember to backup your stuff often, experiment in a VM, and look up commands before hitting Enter! Good luck!

Thanks! I'll definitely check it out.
