Trouble Connecting a Second Monitor to My PC

I'm trying to connect a second monitor to my computer (which has a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13400F processor, RTX 3050 graphics card, and 16GB RAM), but I'm having trouble with the HDMI port—it just doesn't seem to work. I've owned this PC for just over a year and have never used that specific HDMI port before, so I'm not sure if it's broken or if I need to change some settings to enable it. I've tested the HDMI cables on the port I'm using for my main monitor, and they both work fine. I'm really hoping someone can help me figure this out!

Did you connect the second monitor to the HDMI port on your graphics card instead of the motherboard? Your RTX 3050 likely has the HDMI ports, and the motherboard's ports won’t work since you don’t have integrated graphics. If you're using the wrong port, that might be the issue. You could also consider getting a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter if necessary.

Yeah, it sounds like OP is trying to use the motherboard's HDMI port, which usually won't work without an integrated GPU. Switching to the GPU's port should help!

Just a heads up, it's good practice to use specific titles when asking for help. It makes it easier for people to understand your issue right away and offer precise advice. But regarding your problem, definitely check the connections on your graphics card!
