I'm experiencing issues with a game running on Linux Mint 22 using Wine. While it starts up fine, it eventually freezes during gameplay, even though it runs smoothly on Windows. I tried using both the stable version and the development version of Wine, but neither seemed to help. Interestingly, the game works perfectly on Fedora on a different machine. I'm looking for solutions to get it running smoothly on Mint. The game in question is Sonic After the Sequel Omega, but I've noticed this behavior with other games as well. My laptop is a Lenovo v310-15ikb, and I've also tried launching it through Steam and Lutris, but had no success, plus there was no sound when I tried using Bottles.

You might want to try using Heroic Launcher instead. It has a Wine Manager feature that can help you install the latest Proton-GE version for better compatibility. It could improve your gameplay experience compared to using Wine by itself.
I attempted to launch it through Proton-GE on Steam, but it wouldn't start there either.
